I Have A Mic, I Just Need The Shark

This is all you need if you already have a mic – to get started follow our setup instructions to integrate your existing mic with the Sound Shark parabolic sound collector dish.

The Sound Shark can be used with any omni-directional lapel (lavaliere) microphone that works with your camera or recorder.

Cylindrical microphones are preferred as they are slightly more secure in our mounting clip.  We highly recommend adding the Sound Shark Wind Cover to your order if you will be working outdoors.

The Sound Shark is now available with LED lights to add a light source to your audio capture.

We have several kits under the “I Need a …” tabs (above) that include various microphones along with a wind cover for your Sound Shark.  Kits are also available with LED lights and/or a preamp included.

If you are recording with a DSLR, we recommend using a preamplifier with your camera, to get the highest quality of audio.  (You may want to refer to our series of blog posts on using external amplifiers to learn more about this topic.)
